So we've gone from needing a wall to protect us from the Mexican rapists, to not getting the wall, to needing the military to stand guard at the southern border to protect us from those who have been raped.
But for all the well-chronicled bias and distortions, as a longtime observer of conservative media I've never before felt that it existed in an entirely distinct reality. Where there used to be an ideological agenda driving commentary on a shared, nominally objective world, a lot of conservative media now feels like it is simply of another world entirely.
